Southport's night life is renowned. There's also
plenty to do during the day with a wide range of
sporting activities on offer. The resort justly
deserves the title of 'Golf Capital of Europe' with
15 golf courses all within an hour's drive from the
town. Southport also makes an ideal touring base
from which you can explore the north west's many
attractions.
Both
Southport and the Lynwood Hotel are easy to get
to.
Approaching
from the south and east, a convenient route is via
the M6 to exit 26; the M58 will take you to
Ormskirk and then the A570 to Southport.
Approaching from the north, follow the A59 from
Preston (exit 31 from M6) and then follow the signs
to Southport. From the Liverpool area the A565
takes you directly to Southport town
centre.
